OPINION: One-time K-12 funding can’t make up for decades of cuts

Colorado schools face a more than $10 billion budgetary shortfall that has accumulated over more than 13 years. This year, public schools are set to receive one-time pandemic relief funding. Superintendents across Colorado are asking lawmakers to make long-term investments in K12 schools and remind them that kids matter too.
